Malaysia's most attractive employers 2021: Shell, Nestlé, Intel

As the topmost preferred employer for the third time, Shell Malaysia was also ranked #1 for attractive salary & benefits, and work-life balance.

Shell Malaysia, Nestlé Malaysia, and Intel Malaysia have emerged the top three most attractive employers in the country this year, according to a new brand research.

This is the third time Shell Malaysia has secured the number spot, the research, released by Randstad today (9 June 2021), showed.

On the firm's win, Shazmi Ali, Country HR Manager, Malaysia at Shell said: "Shell is humbled to receive this recognition from Randstad as being a top employer of choice in Malaysia. This acknowledgement serves as a testament to our employees for making Shell a great place to work with their relentless dedication to their customers, communities, and the nation, despite unprecedented challenges from the pandemic.

"We are truly grateful for this honour and understand the deep sense of responsibility it thrusts upon us. Shell is committed to becoming a talent powerhouse by enhancing our workforce with future-ready skills as we move forward in our journey of powering progress towards a net-zero emissions future for Malaysia, and the world."

Overall, the top 10 most attractive employers revealed in Malaysia are:

  2. Nestlé Malaysia
  3. Intel Malaysia
  4. Samsung
  5. Sime Darby Berhad
  6. General Electric
  7. HP Enterprise Services (a new entrant to the top 10)
  8. Sunway Berhad
  9. IBM
  10. Tenaga Nasional Berhad

The research also revealed the top three EVP drivers of the five most attractive companies, as follows:

  2. Very good reputation
  3. Attractive salary and benefits

Nestlé Malaysia

  1. Financially healthy
  2. Very good reputation
  3. Job security

Intel Malaysia

  1. Very good reputation
  2. Financially healthy
  3. Career progression

Samsung

  1. Financially healthy
  2. Very good reputation
  3. Career progression

Sime Darby Berhad

  1. Financially healthy
  2. Very good reputation
  3. Job security
