    Consultant at Egon Zehnder

    Kala Kularajah, based in Kuala Lumpur, is active in Egon Zehnder's Executive Assessment and Development, Technology and Communications, and Financial Services practices. She is deeply experienced in leadership and talent strategy, organization design, and management across multiple geographies. In addition to executive search, she provides accelerated integration support to executives transitioning into new roles and serves as an executive coach to senior executives.

    Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Kala was a Regional Director for Fast-Growing Markets at the Hay Group. Before that, she was the Chief Talent Officer with Maxis after serving as the Hay Group's Regional Director of Reward Practice Business in Asia-Pacific and Africa. Kala began her career at the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, with responsibilities that included listing companies and strategic planning.

    Kala earned an MBA (summa cum laude) from Boston University and a Bachelor of Accounting from Monash University in Australia. She is also a Certificate Practicing Accountant in Australia. Kala is deeply curious about people and different walks of life and is fascinated by belief systems and the priorities associated with each one.

    Country Human Resource Head , Citibank Malaysia at Citibank Bhd

    Nisha Padbidri is currently the Country Human Resource Officer for Citi Malaysia, a position she has held since September 2018. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Nisha provides strategic oversight of the Human Resources function for the nearly 5000 employees of Citibank Malaysia whilst helping the CEO and the Country management team to manage the present and lead the organization into the future. Nisha also sits on Citi Malaysia’s Country Management Committee.

    Nisha has been with Citi for over 24 years and has cross-border experience in both HR Partnership and Business Operations. She has led teams with Regional and Country responsibilities across Corporate Banking, Institutional Banking, Consumer Banking and Operations and Technology.

    Nisha has built a track record of being a consummate change agent using an innovative lens, coupled with leadership agility that has contributed to high impact delivery of results and created long-standing stakeholder relationships. Nisha’s legacy has been technology-driven, scalable and sustainable HR platforms, processes and initiatives.

    The recent unprecedented times have also provided an opportunity as Country Human Resource Officer to help the CEO and management team craft the work-from-home transition and develop return-to-work plans for when the economy reboots.
    As a strong advocate for future proofing oneself and as a proponent of lifelong learning, Nisha has recently graduated in an Executive Human Resource Advisory Certification from Cornell while also having completed an executive program in Fintech from MIT.

    Nisha believes in being multi-dimensional and holds true to this as a mother of three children, wife, diver, hiker, coach and baker!

    Norlida Azmi is currently the Deputy Group Chief Human Resource Officer / CHRO Designate of Axiata Group Berhad.

    Her first stint in Malaysia after 18 years overseas was with UEM Group in 2014 as the Group Chief Human Capital Officer driving the transformation agenda for human capital across UEM subsidiaries. She was also a Board Member of Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad (CIMA), a cement manufacturing business. She joined HSBC Malaysia in 2018 as the Country Head of HR overseeing a staff strength of 4,500 driving talent management, digital acumen upskilling, total well-being and diversity agenda before moving on to PNB as Chief People & Culture Officer.

    During her time outside Malaysia, she held diverse roles in the banking industry including:
    • Chief Operating Officer - Business Development & Strategy, Wholesale Banking of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in Abu Dhabi, and subsequently Global Head of Talent Management
    • Group CHRO of the Commercial Bank of Qatar Group - Doha, Oman and UAE
    • Strategic Planning Head, Wholesale Banking Samba Financial Group, Saudi Arabia
    • Chief of Staff to Group ED, Risk, Legal & Compliance, Standard Chartered London

    At the beginning of her career, she held roles in regional marketing and was a global relationship manager among others with Citigroup in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

    She is a strong advocate of diversity and inclusion, digital and agile transformation and total well-being. She is a working member of the 30% Club Malaysia apart from leading the Media, PR and Communications pillar. She is also a mentor on Leadwomen, Lean In, Young Corporate Malaysia and Axiata Young Talent Programme platforms.

    Norlida has an MBA (Finance) and BSc (Applied Computer Science) from Northern Illinois University DeKalb, Illinois, USA.

    Siobhan Das was promoted in January 2020 as the first Chief Executive Officer of the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM). Serving initially as the Chamber’s Executive Director from January 2016, Siobhan has not only taken the Chamber to greater heights but she has strengthened the Chamber's presence with critical stakeholders, driving stronger engagement with its members and developing a powerful voice for its various business communities.

    Siobhan assumed this newly created position at a very critical time for the Chamber leading it and its members through the global crisis of COVID-19. Insisting on a collaborative platform between the government and business stakeholders, under her guidance, the Chamber played a pivotal role in supporting businesses most impacted by the Malaysian government’s response. Siobhan positioned the Chamber so that it can support and effect policy changes that benefit not only AMCHAM Members, but other companies many of which support the U.S. business footprint in Malaysia.

    General Manager, HR & External Affairs at ConocoPhillips Malaysia

    Anwar Yusoff joined ConocoPhillips Malaysia in 2008 as the General Manager of HR & External Affairs. Headquartered in Houston, United States, ConocoPhillips is one of the world’s largest independent exploration and production companies with operations and activities in 15 countries.

    Within his current role, Anwar oversees all aspects of HR which involves developing and implementing the company's HR business plan, recruitment of well-qualified staff to support ConocoPhillips’ growth aspirations in Malaysia and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals to nurture employees for future roles within the company. Apart from HR, Anwar’s scope encompasses heading external affairs which includes stakeholder management, government relations and the company’s corporate social responsibility as a business strategy for sustainable development. Anwar also supervises the company’s office management and administration.

    Under HR purview, Anwar advocates staff engagement by establishing and chairing an Employee Consultative Forum (ECF) and a Diversity and Inclusion Committee which comprise of staff representatives. The committees meet on a quarterly basis to discuss matters of the company and staff mutual interest.
    Anwar has 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, out of which 12 years was spent in supply chain and QHSE, working for PETRONAS, Occidental and BP, prior to embarking in HR career.

    Anwar graduated with a Business Management degree from Indiana University, USA, with a minor in Psychology. He strives towards continuous improvements in all areas that he ventures, both work and personal, and find himself always in planning mode towards execution.
