Malaysia 10th most vaccinated nation against COVID-19
Malaysia has the 10th highest rate of complete COVID-19 vaccination globally, with some 77% of its total population fully inoculated. Citing a New York Times (NYT) tracker on Monday (Nov 8), CodeBlue, which reports issues and policies related to healthcare in Malaysia and around the world, said about 80% of Malaysia’s total population had been vaccinated with at least one dose.

Malaysia and Singapore today agreed to the setting up of a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Changi International Airport beginning Nov 29. The lane would allow fully-vaccinated individuals to travel between both countries and be subjected to COVID-19 tests in lieu of quarantine or Stay-Home notices.

Spirit AeroSystems has produced the first inboard wing flap for the new A321XLR (Xtra Long Range) narrow-body commercial jet developed by Airbus in Malaysia. In a statement on Tuesday, Airbus said Spirit AeroSystems in Malaysia is the sole supplier producing inboard flaps for the A321XLR, which is a new long-range version of the best-selling single-aisle aircraft.
