Special Message by the Prime Minister of Malaysia |

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced today (10 April 2020) that the Movement Control Order (MCO) will be extended for another two weeks, until April 28 in an effort to curb the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak, in line with the views from the World Health Organization. The Prime Minister also noted that a "home based learning" initiative will be implemented. Also, a list of sectors allowed to operate will be revealed soon. |

| Although Malaysia’s COVID-19 positive cases have passed the 4,000 mark, it recorded an encouraging recovery rate this week, with the highest daily number of recoveries (236) reported on Monday (April 6). 121 patients were discharged, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 1,608 and the recovery rate to 38.0 percent of the total COVID-19 cases. |
