| The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) has urged industries that have not registered for the Public-Private Partnership Industrial COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PIKAS) to do so as soon as possible to achieve herd immunity in the country. MITI introduced PIKAS specifically for workers in the manufacturing sector, beginning June 16. |

| More mega vaccination centres (PPV) will be opened to ramp up the nation's vaccination drive as supplies come in.
At the same time, the government is also looking to open smaller-scale mega PPVs that will be able to cater to between 3,000 and 5,000 people a day. |

| The government is currently studying the feasibility of lifting several restrictions for fully vaccinated individuals such as possibly allowing them to travel interstate.
The proposal to lift these restrictions for qualified individuals is being scrutinised by the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP)’s technical working committee. This includes looking at steps and leeways used by other countries for fully vaccinated individuals. |

| Families can now register their children for vaccination following the recent decision to start inoculating children over 12 years of age. A check with the MySejahtera app showed that parents will now be able to add their children as dependants by clicking the “Add Vaccine Dependent” option under the “Vaccination” category. |

| 10% of the population is expected to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by mid-July 2021 as the government aims to administer some eight million doses this month. With every 100 doses administered, 30 of them are for the second dose.
To fully immunise 10% of the population or 3.2 million people, we need to administer roughly 10.7 million doses must be administered by mid-July. |
