The allowance increase for healthcare volunteers involved in the COVID-19 vaccination process and management is also given to volunteers serving persons with disabilities (PwD). The OKU Sentral drive-through vaccination centre here, for example, currently has approximately 100 volunteers helping to manage and ensure smooth running of the COVID-19 vaccination process involving the PwD.

The Special Committee on Ensuring Access to COVID-19 Supply (JKJAV) said in its daily update today that the number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Malaysia yesterday, 23 June, remained above the 250,000 mark, with a total of 252,773 shots delivered into arms nationwide. From that total, 174,448 individuals received their first dose, while 78,325 more received their second dose.

Congratulations to the members of The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL)’s Young Investors Society (YIS) who recently competed in the 2021 Malaysia Stock Pitch Competition!

ISKL’s YIS team, mainly from the Class of 2022 and 2024, consisted of Allen Z. and Keith W., who took first place with Enviva Partners, a bio-renewables company, winning a pair of Apple Airpods.

Hospital Ampang has close to 150 COVID patients now in, and for the past few weeks the hospital has been expanding the wards in terms of manpower, equipment, and proper isolation spaces.

Both patients and clinicians need equipments urgently to be able to do their work.
