| Those from the logistics and transportation sector can continue to use the travel approval letters issued under the SMILE system (Sistem Maklumat Industri Logistik) dated from June 1, 2021 onwards for inspections at roadblocks. This was following the implementation of the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) in several sub-districts and localities in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur from July 3-16 as well as the announcement of the National Recovery Plan (NRP). |

| Certain commercial and distribution sectors, including car washes and hairdressers, in Pahang, Perak, Terengganu, Kelantan and Perlis, have been allowed to resume operations as the five states transition to Phase Two of the movement control under the National Recovery Plan. Most businessmen and workers in those sectors expressed relief and were glad because they could begin earning again and boost their families’ incomes. |

| Malaysia has successfully achieved a vaccination rate of more than 300,000 doses a day. On Monday (July 5), a total of 313,761 doses were administered with 6,585,002 individuals having received their first dose, while another 2,735,474 individuals had completed their second dose. When announcing the National Recovery Plan on June 15, an increase in the vaccination rate to more than 300,000 doses a day had been set beginning July. |
