| Melaka will be moving to Phase Two and Negeri Sembilan to Phase Three of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) from September 4. This means that Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Putrajaya and Kedah are the only states and federal territories left in Phase One. The government has also decided to re-open the tourism sector at selected holiday destinations under the travel bubble programme based on several conditions. |

| A new build of the MySejahtera app that will indicate the COVID-19 vaccination status and risk level of users of the application in a single display is in the works starting September 2. The latest build will make it easier for the people to display their vaccination status and COVID-19 risk level whenever they visit public places as the country gears towards treating the pandemic as endemic by end of the October. |

| Penang today received more than 40,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to ramp up the ongoing vaccination process.
The 43,120 doses of Sinovac vaccines were part of 200,000 doses assured by the federal government to the state recently. |

| A total of 35,519,754 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Malaysia as of Thursday (Sept 2). A total of 20,115,233 people (or 85.9% of the adult population) have received their first dose while 15,429,300 (or 65.9% of the adult population) had both doses. 181,635 individuals had received their first doses while another 187,645 people completed their second dose. |
