Interstate travel only when vaccination of adults hit 90 per cent
Interstate travel only when vaccination of adults hit 90 per cent
Interstate travel and the reopening of other tourist destinations, irrespective of those located on the islands and on the mainland, will be allowed after 90 per cent of the country's adult population has been fully inoculated. The easing of such restrictions is also subjected to data and analysis conducted by the Health Ministry.

Entry permission via MYENTRY (vaccination status)
The Immigration Department of Malaysia has developed the MYEntry online system to enhance the current application process for Malaysians and non-Malaysians from entering and exiting the country. MYEntry is an online platform that enables the public and relevant Government stakeholders, including Malaysian embassies abroad to apply, process, monitor and track applications in real-time. MYEntry is accessible through the Expatriate Services Division (ESD) online system effective 10 August 2020.

Over 41 million vaccine doses given as of Wednesday (Sept 22)
A total of 41,247,271 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in Malaysia as of Wednesday (Sept 22). 22,348,422 people or 93.3% of the adult population have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 18,986,347 individuals or 81.0% of the adult population have completed their inoculations. A total of 321,342 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in the country on Wednesday.

Intel, Apple to be among attendees of White House meeting on chip shortage
Intel Corp Chief Executive Pat Gelsinger plans to attend a virtual White House meeting on the global chip shortage, along with representatives from companies including Apple, Microsoft, Samsung Electronics, GM, Ford and Stellantis , people familiar with the matter said. The meeting will be hosted by Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo and National Economic Council Director Brian Deese, the Commerce Department said earlier this month.

Citi Malaysia has won three banking awards, a recognition of the strength and leadership of the global bank’s institutional business in Malaysia. Asiamoney in its Best Bank Awards 2021 named Citi Malaysia as Best International Bank while Global Finance gave the bank for the sixth consecutive year, the Best Corporate/Institutional Digital Bank award.

Citi also won the Best Corporate Sukuk Award by the Asset in its Triple A Awards in recognition of Citi’s role as a Bookrunner and Lead Manager for Axiata Group’s US$500mil Wakala Sukuk transaction.
