| A private low-risk COVID-19 treatment and quarantine centre (PKRCS) has been set up at Hotel Mei along Abu Siti Lane in George Town to cater to Category One and Two patients from the B40 group. The PKRCS will be open to COVID-19 patients in the B40 group at no cost to them. The PKRCS was a collaboration between the state government and the Crisis Relief Services and Training Berhad (CREST) non-governmental organisation. |

| A total of 21,968,698 people (or 93.8% of Malaysia's adult population) has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of Monday (Sept 27). 84.4% of the adult population, or 19,753,742 people, had completed their vaccinations so far. A total of 323,335 COVID-19 vaccinations were administered on Monday. |

| Malaysia’s trade performance remained resilient and maintained its upward momentum in August 2021. Trade, exports and trade surplus registered the highest monthly value for August. The export growth was contributed mainly by robust external demand for petroleum products, electrical and electronic (E&E) products mainly due to higher shipments of semiconductors as well as chemicals and chemical products. |

| The Finance Ministry (MoF) has tabled the Temporary Measures for Government Financing [Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)] (Amendment) Act 2021 for the first reading in the Dewan Rakyat today. Tabled by Deputy Finance Minister Mohd Shahar Abdullah, the bill aims to increase the Federal government's statutory debt limit from 60 per cent to 65 per cent of the gross domestic product (GDP). |
