A recommendation has been made to the government to proceed with the heterologous vaccination plan or the use of a vaccine different from the original vaccine received by an individual, through the administration of booster doses starting this month.

Those allergic to a particular vaccine cannot use it as a reason to avoid vaccination. Those who are seeking not to take the vaccine on medical grounds such as allergies, must get this certified by the district health officer. The health officer will recommend that a different vaccine is given instead.
