During this period of Full Movement Control Order (FMCO 3.0) extended to June 28, 2021, AMCHAM will be bringing you daily updates on the latest COVID-19 developments, which includes Government-issued orders, regulations, and SOPs as well as initiatives from related bodies and organizations.
Vaccination of economic frontliners will be the country’s best proactive move to drive the economic recovery and ensure Malaysia retains its critical position in many global value chains. With today’s launch of the Public-Private Partnership Industrial COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PIKAS) program, the ministries of MITI, MoH and MOSTI are working together with industry to deploy vaccines to the more active parts of the economy.
Companies will not be allowed to transfer the cost of COVID-19 vaccinations to workers under the nationwide Program Immunisasi Industry COVID-19 Kerjasama Awam-Swasta (PIKAS).
Companies seeking to participate in the programme will have to agree not to dock workers' salaries or make deductions to offset the cost of vaccines and related costs.
8 COVID Vaccination Centres (PPV) have been listed for under the The Program Immunisasi Industri COVID-19 Kerjasama Awam-Swasta (PIKAS) programme.
The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) HQ will remain open virtually and offers services and facilitation through various virtual channels during this period of Full Movement Control Order (FMCO 3.0).
